Wind Calls the Heart Hobby Farm and OTSC

Welcome to Wind Calls The Heart Hobby Farm and OTSC, where our journey into farm life unfolds with joy and dedication. Discover our diverse animal family and our passion for the Old Time Scotch Collie.

Our growing farm family

We are embracing the hobby farm life with open arms and cherishing every moment. Currently, our farm is home to 16 happy hens, 4 pullets, and one extremely happy Silky rooster. We have exciting plans to gradually introduce more farm animals in the coming years. Beyond our feathered friends, our exotics and reptiles keep us busy with 3 chinchillas, 4 guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, and a leopard gecko. You'll also find our beloved barn cats (all spayed/neutered) and the familiar faces of our dogs: Isabella, our Poodle mix; Lady, our Shetland Sheepdog; Thorfinn, our newest addition; and Dixie, our Old Time Scotch Collie. We sadly had to say goodbye to Scotty after a few tragic incidences. Which only stresses my importance on where you get your dogs from, because sadly his condition could not be trained out.

Farm fresh goodness and noble companions

Visitors can look forward to our delicious farm-fresh eggs, straight from our happy hens. In the next couple of years, after Dixie, our Old Time Scotch Collie, completes her OFA testing, we plan to embark on a breeding program. The Old Time Scotch Collie is a wonderful breed that we are committed to helping bring back. These dogs are highly biddable, quick-learning herding dogs that also make amazing family companions due to their 'off switch' – they are just as happy to relax when not working.
